Chillyness

I was excited that we were getting some cooler temps today after a week of humid hotness in our no a/c house. But it’s a little too chilly! We are starting our morning snuggled under blankets- at least until we have to head to the dentist.

My hot coffee is tasting pretty good right now.

Andy I spent the weekend going through our stuff that is in storage. The movers did a horrible job packing the stuff in there. Boxes that were clearly marked “fragile” were getting smashed under the weight of heavier boxes. We only got about half way through the stuff. I was able to locate a few key things, a missing guitar and my photo printer.

These pictures have nothing to do with moving boxes. But that’s the way it goes.

We were supposed to have our final drawings from the architect last week, but then he called and said he needed four more days, which meant today. Well he called last night and said his computer crashed and he won’t even get it back to start our drawings until maybe today. it’s frustrating that we have to have those done first, in order to then get construction drawings, in order to get bids from contractors, in order to go to the bank to get the loan. Our goal was to have the roof off in June- and now that is not going to happen and my fear is that summer is going to slip by and we are not going to get anything done. I really wanted the house framed back up by the time school starts. With the goal of having it all done by Christmas. Not gonna happen.

So I pulled out my photo printer and my project life stuff and I am gonna try to document the process of this whole house remodel to take my mind off the frustrating slowness of it. It will all be worth it I know.

In the meantime I am planning some fun trips with friends, and a month full of birthdays!
