I think this may be the last Friday that we are in our townhouse. I say *think* because I thought that last Friday and then it didn’t happen. So fingers crossed this is the last one.
Austin keeps asking me if I am going to miss it. And of course the first answer is NO! followed by a quiet yes. I am going to miss small things. The togetherness. The transition time…. When we get to our new place it will be back to life as before- lots of kids over, lots of friends hanging out, and the boys running here and there. Don’t get me wrong, I want that for them- and it’s why we picked that neighborhood. But this little pinch of time where I have had them mostly around here- well it’s been sorta nice. A re-connecting.
I picked up my mail at the new house and there was an instruction card for rural delivery. I had to laugh. We are moving to the country folks. Most of Chapel Hill feels like the country anyway- there is no downtown. Downtown is UNC’s main drag. It’s a quiet town, where people don’t move to fast. Andy complains that everyone drives really slow. But the neighborhood we picked really is kinda country. But still a neighborhood with a neighborhood pool, tennis courts, etc. Our new house has it’s own well for water, and a septic tank. Country living. I can’t wait 🙂
Pollen season is in full swing here. When I picked Cole up from his friends house yesterday the mom told me that his eyes had gotten swollen and itchy when they walked to get ice cream. It seriously looks like a dust storm rolling in- but it’s pollen. Apparently it takes a week to run it’s course. I am hoping the big rains we are supposed to get this weekend knock it all down and wash it away!
Sometimes when I pick up my phone there are a ton of random pics from you-know-who. She also likes to make videos of herself.
Here are some of her shots. Lots of shoes and Shiloh.
Lately we have been walking over on the Duke Trail. I will let her out of the stroller for the last half mile (out of 6). The girl likes to run. And is always so happy to get out.
She collects rocks and pinecones for her pinecone family. She examines each one to make sure it is just right and if it’s not it gets tossed and replaced. She always has a mom, a baby, and a brother.
Today she saw a black 4-runner in the parking lot at the start of the trail and she would not budge. “Daddy’s car!!! Daddy’s here!!!” I told her over and over that other people have the same car and that he was at work. She would not budge.
My solution? Doritos. Don’t judge.
There is a place to stop for water for people and for dogs. Today we didn’t have a dog. So just water for Eva.
I love the old tobacco building in Durham. This is where Mellow Mushroom is.
run
My friend has chickens. Eva loves them
She loves to swing on my lap 🙂
At Austin’s lacrosse game. She put lip stuff all over her face. Every time.
Probably my fave pic ever. She is so into American Idol. Last night she got Blake’s notebook and a candle from her birthday cake play set and sings her heart out.
When we go to Target she likes to try on all the shoes.
That’s all I’ve got. Have a great weekend!!

My bribe would have been M&M’s, Smarties, or Gummie Bears….no judging here. I keep those goodies around just in case. Have a great weekend.

I kind of felt that way about the rental house as well, that I wasn’t going to miss it at all, but well maybe just a little. Being in such a small house we simply could not spread out. I promise you, though, getting into YOUR space will be THE BEST.
I cannot wait for you!!!
That other house is gorgeous.
I can’t believe how much older Eva looks.
*fingers crossed for moving this week*
