Back in Carolina

We are settled into our rent house and surrounded by boxes that I am unmotivated to unpack. Trying to pull out the minimum. The garage is completely packed and we will soon be renting a storage unit to move it all to. Moving stinks.

Blake came down with me at first to help- here he is standing in front of our lot where our house will be built. He’s back in Ohio now and I miss him!!

So far the lot has been cleared. Next up is concrete.

So far the kids are adjusting ok.

Blake has such a kind heart. I can’t wait to see him in 4 more days!!

Farmers markets are big here and you can find one going on most days. Trying to start buying as much local as I can.

We went to the festival on the Eno River

After dinner walks have become more frequent. We have a decent sized backyard here at the rental but it’s not good for ball throwing.

New fave brunch spot is only a couple streets away

It’s official- saw it finally come up as sold (it never went on the market). Bittersweet but feeling ok about it all.

Took the kids over the Riverwalk in Hillsborough.

And downtown for dinner and treats

I can’t wait until next year when our dogs can swim in our pool but for now the lake will do.

So far so good.
