When boredom sets in

I hadn’t picked up my big camera in forever. But I really really wanted to. It’s challenging when your kids get older and they no longer want to be in front of your camera.

I kinda lost my inspiration to pick it up.

So when that happens I always try to do something different than my usual day to day kids and dogs lol. And it’s usually macro.

I already own a macro lens but wanted something that went a touch further. After some research I ended up with this adapter that snaps on the end of your lens (and it can be any lens, not just a macro).

I played around with it for a bit. It’s not easy. It has a very short focal length so you have to get super duper close to your subject.

Flowers are probably the easiest to try it out on because they don’t move.

I clearly need more practice.

I have been taking advantage of being back home to knock out some appointments. Eva had dentist, ortho, and dermatologist appointments all this week. And her 2nd covid shot tomorrow. And then our whole family will be vaxxed up.

We have some friends coming in to town tomorrow from Ohio so it will be nice to see them again. It’s been almost 3 years…. crazy.

Even more crazy is that today is Cole’s 18th birthday. Off to celebrate this major birthday!
