Yesterday I was on day three of having a sick kid at home. Nothing major, but it seemed to hit them one at a time which meant one each day.
Yesterday I let Blake sleep in while I ran Eva over to preschool. Just as I drop her off we realize it’s bring your fave stuffed animal day. We forgot. She looked up at me with big eyes- how could we have forgotten??
She said, “MOM! I need softy bunny!!”
I was trying to do a fast drop off because the city was due at our house to change out our water meter and they needed to get into the basement to do it. And of course they wouldn’t give a time, just a “window”.
So I ran home, no water dude- and turned the house upside down looking for softy bunny. Who was no where to be found. I grab her 2nd fave knowing that she was not going to be happy when I decided to look one more place and there he was. Whew.
I ran back over to the preschool and it starts pouring. I get softy dropped off while I am getting a text from my neighbor and a phone call from Andy, water dude is at the house- where am I?
Anyway, all settles down after that.
These pics have nothing to do with my post.
Blake is a giant
We got our latest house plans back a couple days ago. A modified version of our first two story plans, we took it from over 6,000 sq ft down to almost 5,000. Not including basement. I think that sounds much better.
Eva said let’s take a selfie
So now that we have the plans from the architect we are waiting on the bid from our contractor and then it’s back to the bank for a new appraisal and hopefully we can get started in a month or so.
He plays a little dinner music
We have decided to move out of our house for the next 6 months. There is a cute old 3 story a couple streets over that we are going to rent. I am SO excited. I can’t wait to live in a house with a kitchen and real rooms. Plus it’s right across the street from Eva’s school and Coles as well. It has a big front porch that I am going to decorate for Halloween. Looks like we will be moving next weekend.
Wardrobe malfunction
There were a million selfies on my phone, never let Eva borrow your phone.
Being at the ortho with just Cole was a big reminder that he is just as bad as Eva about sitting still.
Dude has some messed up teeth. 30 months of braces. He got his spacers a couple days ago- braces in two weeks!
Feeling a little sad and so very tired of our house project I made Andy draw where my front porch would be and then sit on it with me.
This is my inspiration for the new kitchen. We have pushed it to the side of the house so we can have more windows in it and tons of light.
Last week we lost power after a quick storm- the creek was over the bridges again.
Austin passed his driving test. Now we have an extra driver in the house. He quickly jumped in his car and headed out to the football game.
Later in the week he came up to me at 8:30pm complaining we were out of almond milk. I told him that I didn’t want to go to the store, I was already in my pj’s. Andy turns around and says, “Austin you go to the store and buy the almond milk” So he did. This is life changing people.
One of my friends had a bowling party for her birthday
My dad had some serious style back in the day- you can see why my mom married him
Austin has gotten a personal best at every meet this year. Proud of him.
Constitution day at school. They sang lots of songs- it was cute. Coley was not feeling well but didn’t want to miss it.
The coach
Have a great weekend!

I’m so jealous of that kitchen…and 5000 sq feet…plus a basement. It is SO going to be worth it when it’s all done.
Love the rental and that you are excited about it. I’m kind of having a Monday on a Friday, which pretty much stinks.

Mike and I think that just doesn’t look ANYTHING like your dad! The picture made us laugh.
