Something about the start of this school year has felt like a fresh start for me.
This summer was kinda sucky and I was for sure ready to move on, ready to start on the house, ready for the kids to settle in to routines, meet new people- both them and me. Learning to move on from old things. Learning to let things go, instead of getting sucked in. And realizing it’s ok to move on…
I am also gearing up to take my business to the next level. I’m excited- lots of new and exciting things.
School started on Monday and just like that we were back in schedule mode. Austin has XC practice at 6:15am. Fortunately he gets up and walks over on his own (yeah for big kids) and then he has it again after school. So I don’t see much of him. Blake practices after school only which is good because more would do him in. Cole has declared his first days “awesome” and loves his teacher. Eva starts Sept.5th.
The appraiser came yesterday so we can get started on our remodel loan- of course Andy is in California all week so he misses the excitement of the whole thing. The appraiser deal stressed me out but thankfully our contractor stepped in to help me out (no way I was gonna be able to keep Eva in the house while he did his thing).
So here are my iPhone shots of the first day of school.
10th grade
Doesn’t Blake look thrilled?? I love that kid, my huge 8th grader
I can’t believe this one is in 4th.
I got a little teary at Cole’s orientation. 10 years at that school. I am so glad we still have young ones in the house.

I am with you, ready for routines! Robbie looked just as thrilled as Blake. Must be a boy thing. Glad things are starting to fall into place.
