narrowing it down

I need to start narrowing down how I want the exterior of my house to look. I know I want a farmhouse/beachy look. Big porches. Lots of big porches.

I love this farmhouse in Granville, I have photographed it before.

But I mainly love the grounds. And the cedar shake. And the color

I really like this old house too

And I love black windows (this house was by ours in watersound- nice backyard huh?)

I will do a post soon about the house we just stayed in- it was pretty cool.

But for now…..must figure out my own….

These are amazing. You and I like the same houses. We should be neighbors. I could borrow sugar from you and send my half naked wild child to run amok with your half naked wild child. It would be good…until the girls end up in jail together…or Greg makes a move on Andy. I guess I better stay here. I’m in too deep to lose Greg to Andy.

Love all of them! Our house in Tennessee was cedar shake and we had those same front doors:) I can’t wait to see the final plan. Have a great weekend….yard clean up for us.

Could not agree more with the whole porch thing…I am obsessed with a huge porch that I can decorate and use as just another room of the house. Around our neck of the woods I see ladies hanging drapey curtains that blow in the breeze but provide a little privacy in the evenings…I love that idea!
