A couple days ago I was looking for something on my blog and I realized that I used to write a lot more and post fewer pictures. Now it seems to be the opposite.
I was getting so much joy reading some old stories, things that I never would have remembered had I not written them down.
No doubt over the years we have gone through things that I had to keep private, like our adoption journey, or Andy’s job changes, and I guess that made me take it in a bit. And keep it there.
But I realized that going back and reading about our lives at certain points was actually a lot of fun and so I am going to make a bigger effort to talk more.
And if you are here for cute pics of the girly only you can skip my words. 🙂
Last week I found this cute little table at Home Goods and I went back to buy it the next day and it was gone. Act fast people. You snooze you lose!
The good news is that I went to a different Home Goods in Raleigh and found a green one just like it. I don’t like it as much as the blue but I bought it anyway.
I came home and saw this ladder outside Austin’s window. Pretty sure Andy’ left it there when he was cleaning out gutters but it made me laugh because it looked like he was sneaking out.
Eva wants to help make dinner- every night. I love that she likes to pitch in but of course it requires lots of patience and extra clean-up. Peperoni Rolls- Blake’s fave. May have to hit Trader Joes and make some tonight!
Eva’s preschool makes so much stuff. And she hates to throw any away. I have to do it while she naps. It reminds me of all the stuff the boys would make at their community center classes in Worthington. I would keep them for a while out on display until the next one came, then I would put it in the pantry near the garbage can, then it would accidentally fall into the garbage can.
I know it sounds mean- I kept the best stuff.
This belly
Later that same day, wearing her princess dress. She got mad about something and stomped off and her dress was tucked into her undies and I just couldn’t let that go without a picture.
Blake has always been a sleeper but now on weekends he stays up late and sleeps till noon. Wake up!!
Feeling Thankful on Thanksgiving
Andy and my dad cleared a ton of trees. You can’t tell
Zoey supervised
Eva showing her Buckeye pride on game day. Undefeated Baby.
Cole had to get glasses.
just kidding.
Nightime- I love these old doors- would love to know their history (they are WAY older than my house). But they do have their issues. They don’t really seal, and when one of the kids slams them (which they always do) they rattle like they are going to fall off.
Andy is out of town, so we get things done early so bedtime isn’t a nightmare. Cole made himself some lemonade to help with his homework woes.
Austin didn’t stay to run after school so I was happy to relax and get dinner, a bath in for Eva, and then a shower for Cole. But then he called, he had ridden his bike over to the park to play basketball with friends and it got dark (and cold) super fast- would I come get them? Thankful for a big SUV that will fit the bikes in the back!
Ok, Austin just missed the bus for the 2nd day in a row, time to do another school run.

Cole’s straw is an excellent idea. I may build one like it for my coffee cup at work.

Love the doors too! Laugh about the paper, I use a similar trick, lots of paper from my crafty girl…..now she takes it on the bus to her friends:)

I love that you wrote all this “stuff”, this is the everyday, the real life!!
Okay, the ladder is hilarious….just a matter of time:)
SO funny about the artwork “falling” into the trash.
How old is Blake?! My Ethan does the SAME thing!
Love the straw, doors and the OS pride!!
