A couple weeks ago, I borrowed some Beatles from the boys and was playing this song full blast.
Because I was headed to Florida and sunny skies.
I’m not gonna lie, it’s been a long winter in these parts. And the never ending rain that we have had this spring has been hard as well. I usually have a hard time in February and March but this year we can add April to the list as well.
I’m not kidding when I say that I just want to hibernate, curled up under a blanket until the sun decides to grace us with it’s presence again.
I hate to complain, it could obviously be so much worse. I know that. I’m just wondering if some Texas relatives would mind putting me up until say June or so?
The good news is that the sun came out for a bit on Eva’s birthday. And we got to go outside. Andy quickly put together her outside water table so she and Cole could play with it before the rain came back later that night. It has been raining ever since.
Yesterday we got a break in the rain and quickly did our Easter Egg hunt- I haven’t looked at those pics yet but here is one that I snapped with my iPhone. Notice the chocolate face.
Eva had a good birthday, loved her gifts (thanks Grandma and Ginky!) She also got a fabulous dress up gown to wear to the Royal Wedding party she will be attending Friday morning- Thanks Mikie and Caroline!
Cole made her the sweetest card. He is so into making pop-up cards
A card from one of Austin’s friends- don’t you love when a 13 year old boy does something like this? Did Austin make her a card? No!
Although he did make her a flower in Spanish class. Blake claims he wrote her song but I have yet to hear it.
Turning two has made her even sassier
It’s hard not to be sassy when you ride a pink Barbie motorcycle
Cole wanted to help with all the gift opening. He did not handle it well when we told him no.
But in true Cole fashion bounced back quick
Despite the tutu and Princess headband, this little tomboy ended up a dirty mess
She did a lot of dancing
this belly, gets me every time
More bday pics to come

I’m glad you got a little sun. It’s been raining like crazy here. It needs to end soon.
She has got to be the cutest two year old EVER. Love her cute little belly…it’s just too much!

Almost like being there. Almost. Can’t wait to see you ALL. If you came on down to Texas you could dodge all the storms and tornados now. Dead limbs falling from the trees. Winds. But not that much rain, at least here. Lots ot Texas cities ready to welcome you – move on down!

You can stay here when your weather is yukky. Last year’s surprise was Max’s best birthday gift ever. We still talk about it.
