We have had nothing but rain and chilly temps. Which means lots and lots of mud for lacrosse playing boys.
Austin was covered with mud from head to toe when he got home yesterday. He said that because the 8th grade team lost their last game, the coach made both 7th and 8th grade teams run a lot of BFL’s. The coach didn’t tell them what BFL stands for- just that they are “really big laps”. Hmmm kinda hard to figure out….
Austin was nice to leave his size 11 cleats on the front porch.
Come on Spring, where are you??
On our way back from Atlanta and Florida we made our final stop at the farm to pick up the dogs.
Spring has sprung at the farm
We were just going to pick up the dogs and go but the boys really wanted to spend the night. Cole started crying and hid when I told him we had to go.
We were so tired anyway, so we stayed.
Of course that meant Extreme Hammock
Austin and Ginky
My husband is funny
This boy does not want his picture taken these days, ever.
farm dog Shiloh
Oldest and youngest, so stinkin cute
So here comes the crazy part. My dad bought an old Ford truck on Ebay to drive around the pasture and to teach the boys how to drive. Austin turns 14 (gasp) this summer so he tried it out
I could go on and on about the time flies thing but we all get it. It goes fast. They go from chasing horses and ducks through the pasture in a diaper to driving a Ford truck faster than you can blink your eyes. So instead of getting sad, I think of how helpful it will be for him to be able to drive.
A little girl watched from the hammock, not sure you can see her
Scared of the day this dude learns to drive
I love this barn
And this kid
And look, dad shows up
Wait for me
I just have to add this next picture that Andy took with his iPhone. I have no idea what I was screaming about (because Austin is right next to me, not driving) but it’s funny anyway.
Guess who has a birthday tomorrow???
